  • Cooperate with the International Association of Fire Fighters on federal legislation and lobby Senators and Representatives on fire fighter issues
  • Lobby members of the State Legislature, providing information to members that would help them make informed decisions concerning fire fighter issues
  • Provide expert testimony before legislative committees and public hearings
  • Attend all regular sessions of the state legislature and all committee meetings
  • Attend meetings with other labor organizations to coordinate and support efforts of our labor friends
  • Develop position papers on issues important to fire fighters
  • Attend the annual legislative caucus in Washington DC
  • Assist locals in developing and implementing Political Action Committees as well as offering political guidance
  • Administer the UPFFA Fire Pac Fund. Offer support to friends of Fire Fighters
