IAFF Legislative Conference
March 8-10, 2017
The Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters of Ct attended the IAFF Legislative Conference in Washington, DC to learn about national issues affecting Fire Fighters and to lobby our elected officials.
National issues such as Health and Safety, Protecting Public Sector Pensions, Mandatory Social Security, Healthcare, Cancer Registry just to name a few.
On Tuesday, March 7TH the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters of Ct Locals:
Ct. Police & Fire, Local S-15 - Bridgeport, Local 834 - Bristol, Local 773
Danbury, Local 801 - Fairfield, Local 1426 - Greenwich, Local 1042
Hamden, Local 2687 - Hartford, Local 760 - New Britain, Local 992
Stratford, Local 998 - Waterbury, Local 1339 met with staff members from the offices of Senator Blumenthal, Senator Murphy and Representative Larson , Courtney, DeLauro, Himes and Esty
On Wednesday, March 8th The Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters hosted a breakfast at the U. S. Capitol to further lobby our entire Connecticut Delegation. Senator Blumenthal, Senator Murphy and Representatives Larson, Courtney, DeLauro, Himes and Esty all attended
General President Harold Schaitberger, General Secretary-Treasurer Ed Kelly, 3rd District Vice President Jay Colbert and IAFF Chief of Staff Jim Lee all attended
