02/07/25 - CTFD Instructors Assoc CFDIA Members, There is a Public Hearing of the Public Safety & Security Committee on Tuesday, 2/11, at 1000 hrs in Room 2B. There are two bills being raised that are a part of our legislative priorities. There will be representation from the Joint Council that will provide testimony at the hearing in support of both bills. Please share this information with your organizations in an effort to encourage them to come and support the CT Fire Service on getting these bills moved forward. PSLF PROGRAM – Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
03/07/22 - UPFFA The PSLF program offers complete federal student loan forgiveness after making 120 qualifying payments while working in public service. As you may know, since the Department of Education created a temporary PSLF waiver in October 2021, more than 70,000 student loan borrowers qualified for federal student loan forgiveness under the PSLF program, totaling close to $5 billion in relief. |
